About "It's a Wonderful T-Shirt"

Here at "It's a Wonderful T-Shirt" we tend to straddle the line between sophomoric parody and a wide-eyed nostalgic fascination and appreciation for everything from two dimensional patriotism to poke-in-the-eye lowbrow slapstick.

Take the "Occupy" movement for example. Like most non-participants, in the beginning we stood by watching, confused by all of the non-messages these demonstrators were trying to get across. What was this protest really about? Who knew? At first we couldn't help but scoff at them. But then as a true theme began to coallesce around... well, let's call it "crony capitalism", we began to appreciate the message and the effort. And so we started to think about what kind of rallying cry could fill the void for the Occupy Movement.

99% vs. 1% type of t-shirts abound. So too, t-shirts and posters and bumperstickers with obscure quotes from the more libertarian founding fathers. And on top of it all, calls for support for our current leaders and more calls for support for potential leaders. And party against party against party.

So we got to thinking, was someone missing from this whole equation? Could things actually be better if there were that one person who was so wholesome, universally loved, and self-sacrificing that the world would no doubt be a noticeably better place for his having lived? Or - more to the point - why wasn't that person here before, who could have laid the foundations to make things much better now? How would Wall St. or New York or Oakland actually been better but for the lack of one man? A man who might likely have never actually been born.

"It's a Wonderful T-Shirt" is committed to covering every naked upper torso with one of our super-duper special T-shirts. And we will not sleep (more than 8 hours a day; 10 on weekends) until every American - nay, every Earthling buys one... or two.

What is our Mission Statement, you may ask? Go ahead, ask! ...we're working on it. But it'll probably have something to do with t-shirts.

The Titanic! 70% of the earth is covered with water. Including the Titanic. This year - 2012 - marks the 100 year anniversary of the commercialization of the sinking of the Titanic. We thought we'd might as well jump on board... so to speak.
